Will My Kids Become US Citizens?
- If a parent is granted naturalization before the child’s 18th birthday, the child will automatically become a U.S. citizen if they are in the U.S. as a permanent resident.
- If the child is 18 years old or over, the child must meet the naturalization requirements on their own and complete their own application for U.S. citizenship.
